  This is the inaugural edition of The Palmetto Confederate. We are a web-based periodical specializing in Confederate, South Carolina, and Southern history, literature, opinion, symbolism, and vexillology.

  Our purpose is to educate and stimulate the individual Rebel within our readers. While we have a decidedly regional focus, all are welcome. We, the editors, hope you find our magazine both useful and intriguing.
